The project
In Montecito, folding glass doors dissolve the line between the dining room and the garden. White oak runs through the open plan, and a bright, restrained palette lets the olive trees and the light take the lead. Veined marble carries from the kitchen island to the bath floor, glazed tile lines the range wall, and fireplaces warm both the living room and a sunlit corner.
